William R. Coleman

EUTAWVILLE - William Ronald Coleman, 82, husband of Shirley Perry Martin Coleman, died March 1, 2014 at the Regional Medical Center in Orangeburg. The funeral will be 4 p.m. Tuesday at Avinger Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Johnson officiating. Burial will be private. Bill was born in the Bronx, NY, a son of the late William P. Coleman and Lillian Houseman Coleman. He was retired from the Navy and also a retired Constable of the State of SC. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Eutawville, VFW, American Legion, and FOP. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Nick Martin. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Cindy (David) Lawton of Saline, MI; stepchildren, Edward O. (Connie) LaChance, IV of Hudson, FL, Theresa M. (Michael) Maguire of Merritt Island, FL, Vincent (Tory) LaChance of Holly Hill, Mac (Libby) Martin and Timothy J. Martin, both of Eutawville; a brother, Richard (Joan ) Coleman of Hollywood, FL; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends prior the service beginning at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the First Baptist Church of Eutawville, PO Box 484, Eutawville, SC 29048.
