Vera Mildred Ott Crowe

HOLLY HILL- Vera Mildred Ott Crowe, 91, widow of Martin G Gipe, Sr. and Elmer Crow, passed away Tuesday, January 30 at Ashley River Plantation. Funeral service will be held 11 am February 2 at Avinger Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Santee Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 am until the time of service. Mrs. Crowe was born in Elloree, a daughter of the late Frannie Lou Dantzler Ott and J. W. Ott, Sr. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elloree. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and cleaning, and being with her family. Survivors are her sons, Michael O. (Helen) Gipe of Charleston and Murray L. Gipe of Louisville, KY; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Bussell of James Island and Carolyn Padgett of Montgomery, AL; and a brother Jimmy Lou Ott of Eutawville.
