Tommie Glaton Platt

Tommie Glaton Platt, 85 of Holly Hill, South Carolina, husband of Deseree Platt of 65 years passed away on Monday, July 1, 2024. 

Born on December 2, 1938 in Holly Hill, South Carolina Tommie was a son of the late Rosa Martin Platt and Utson Platt. 

Tommie enjoyed fishing and hunting. He attended the Church of God where he taught Sunday School. Tommie loved spending time and playing with his grandchildren. He enjoyed life and never met a stranger. 

Tommie is preceded in death by his parents; son Johnny Platt; son-in-law Randy Crummie; brother William Platt and grandson-in-law Trey Finley.

Tommie is survived by his wife; daughter Margaret Crummie; grandchildren Brandy Finley, Kayla Crummie, Angel Moyer (Jason), Kellie Platt, Shawn Platt, Madelyn Platt, and Austin Nunez; great grandchildren Shane Weatherford, Landon Finley, Vivian Risher, Jayden Moyer, Stella Moyer, JC Platt, and Treydon Crummie; sisters RubyLee Scott and Jeanette Crownover and a foster child Janet Taylor.

The family will receive friends on Friday, July 5, 2024 from 12-1PM at The Evening Light Church of God, 681 Bayview St., Holly Hill. A service will follow at 1PM. Burial will follow in the Platt Family Cemetery.
