Richard "Rick" G. Lehtonen

Richard George Lehtonen, 87 of Vance, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024.

Rick was born on June 25, 1937 in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Rick served his country in the United States Navy for 26 years. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post#10980 in Eutawville. Rick loved socializing and being with friends.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Nell Lehtonen and two siblings.

Richard is survived by a daughter Sandra Tessier-Hagan (Dale) and stepsons Shamrock Thompson (Kristina) and James Thompson (Irene).

A graveside service with Military Honors will be Monday, October 14, 2024, 2PM at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Rd., Summerville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
