Richard L. Matheny, Sr

HOLLY HILL - Richard Leroy Matheny, Sr., 64, of Holly Hill, husband of Brenda Bray Matheny, died Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Roper Hospital in Charleston. Services will be private. Mr. Matheny was born in Detroit, Michigan, a son of the late Clyde Matheny and Evelyn Opal Hayden Matheny. He was a Marine Corps veteran, and former truck driver. Mr. Matheny was a jeweler and owner of Lonesome Dove Trading Co. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Pam Roy and her husband, Christopher, of Easley, and Jessie Matheny of Holly Hill; a son, Richard L. Matheny, II of Holly Hill; a sister, Joanne Comstock of Michigan. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 7021 St. Andrews Road, Suite 100-A, Columbia, SC 29212.
