NoraLee Williams Shingler

EUTAWVILLE- NoraLee Williams Shingler, 90, widow of C. M. Shingler, Jr., passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Magnolias of Santee. Funeral service will be 11 am Monday, January 22 at the First Baptist Church of Eutawville with the Rev. Jeff Johnson and Rev. David Mitchel officiating. Burial will follow in the Eutawville Cemetery. Family will receive friends Sunday from 4 pm until 6 pm at Avinger Funeral Home. Mrs. Shingler was born in New York, NY, a daughter of the late Bertha Snyder Williams and Hansel C. Williams. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Eutawville, where she was active as long as her health allowed. She enjoyed being with family and thrift shopping. She was predeceased by a son, David R. Shingler. Surviving are a daughter, Connie (Allen) Sloan of N. Augusta; sons, Robert "Bobby" (Wanda) Shingler of Harleyville and Larry (Sherril) Shingler of Holly Hill; sisters, Sheila (Arnie) Smith of Summerville and Sandra (John) Nix of Charleston; 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Eutawville Cemetery, PO Box 5, Eutawville, SC 29048.
