Michael Allen Varnes, 63, of Elloree, SC, died Friday, July 6, 2018 of natural causes.
Michael Varnes was born in Bowman, SC, March 26, 1955. He was a Lineman and Safety Inspector in the Power and Electric Industry for more than 30 years.
His survivors include: His wife, Karen Sullivan Varnes of Elloree, SC; His daughter: Tamra and Jacob Parrott and grandchildren: Kyler Nettles and Braxton Parrott of Santee, SC; His son: Aaron and Britney Varnes and grandchildren: Braelynn and Waylon Varnes and Cassin Morris of Cope, SC; His stepdaughter: Jessica and AJ Brown and grandchildren: Eric Jr., Harlin, Jesse, Gracelynn and Sullivan Debien and CJ Brown of Big Spring, TX.; His stepson: Donald and Lisa Dickson and grandchildren: Donnie and Isabella Dickson of Vance, SC.; His stepson: Douglas Dickson Jr. and grandson: Dallas Dickson of Vance, SC.; His mother: Bobbie Varnes; and two brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be held at Avinger’s Funeral Home in Holly Hill, SC, Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 4:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, family will accept donations for funeral expenses and may be made to Avinger Funeral Home 2274 Eutaw Road, Holly Hill, SC 29059, (803) 496-3434.
