Marvin E Shepard, 83, of Santee, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2019.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2019 at Hope Lutheran Church with Reverend Bob Beaver, Rev. Wayne Young and Rev. Gene Ball officiating.
He was born on May 29, 1935 in Osseo, Michigan, son of the late Robert Shepard and Mildred O' Bryant.
In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by his wife, Oma, one step son, one step daughter and one step grandson.
He graduated from Pittsford, MI High School in 1953 then received an Associates Degree in Agriculture from Michigan State University in 1955. Marvin was a former Master of the former Osseo Masonic Lodge now a life member of the Hillsdale Lodge #1032. Marvin was a Bridgewater TWP Farmer most of his life. He also worked for Pet Milk in Bryan, OH and Hudson, MI for 29 years. Marvin was a Veteran in the Army Signal Corp. After retirement, Marvin worked ten years for Williams County Soil and Water Conservation District and Do It Best Hardware in Montpelier, OH. For the past 12 years, Marvin has resided in Santee, SC.
Survivors include his life companion, Doris Branham; sister Vonda Holly (Irvin); brother, Keith Shepard (Ann); two step daughters, and numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
