Margaret Waite

Margaret "Nan" Waite, 78 of Holly Hill, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022.

Born on March 1, 1944 in Altoona, PA, Margaret was a Daughter of the late Hazel Weierick Noel and Earl Noel.

Margaret was a nurses aide for many years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, coloring and crafting and shopping at thrift stores.  Margaret loved planning family gatherings. Margaret always liked being in charge and was nicknamed "The Sarg" by her family.

Margaret is survived by daughters Teri Williams of Holly Hill, Kim Miller (Carroll) of Orangeburg and Michele Coon (DJ) of Arizona; daughter- in -law, Tina Waite of Bristol, IN; Grandchildren, Chris, Travis, Julia, Greg, Tyler, Kate, Jeffrey, Andy, Ben, Melissa, and Lindsey; sisters, Carolyn Baker, Donna Reed, and Dorothy, and a brother, Galen "Sonny" Noel. Also are surviving are great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stanley Andrew Waite Sr.; a son Stanley Andrew "Andy" Waite, Jr.; and a brother, Harry Noel.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 from 11 AM- 12 PM at Avinger Funeral Home.  Services will follow at 12PM in the Chapel.  Burial will conclude at Pressley Memorial Cemetery in Cross, South Carolina.
