Leroy "Lee" Rothrauff

Leroy "Lee" Rothrauff, age 82, of Santee, South Carolina passed away Thursday, November 23, 2023.

Lee was born August 15, 1941 in Braddock, PA to the late Leroy Rothrauff and Agnes Rothrauff. 

Known as Lee by his friends and Bo by his family he was a retired Master Chief in the US Navy. While in the Navy he enjoyed seeing many countries and shore duty stations in the United States. After retirement Lee worked at Ashley Hall School in Charleston as Director of Buildings and Grounds. He and his wife, Margie retired to Santee where Lee enjoyed playing golf, collecting trains, and many adventures with Margie and friends.

Lee is survived by his wife of 50 years Margie; sisters, Carol Robinson (Jim) of Valencia, PA, and Rose Marie Catley (Van) of Irwin, PA, and many nieces and nephews. Lee was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Mary (Pat) Clougherty, Sarah (Sally) Hartman, and Joan Saversky.

Lee will be missed by his family and friends.

Burial with Military Honors will be held in Pennsylvania at a later date.

Memorials maybe made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Shriners Hospital.
