Kimberly Metzger Kingery

Kimberly Ann " Kim " Kingery, 42, of Summerton, South Carolina, wife to Michael David Kingery of 17 years, entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 18, 2022, surrounded by her family.

Born on December 13, 1979 in Orangeburg, South Carolina, Kim was the daughter of the late Tony Richard Metzger, Sr. and Joyce Ann Dickson.

Kim loved her family and was very generous to others in need. Kim graduated from Robert's High School in Holly Hill and she worked as a Lab Technician in the Medical Industry, most recently at the Urgent Care Clinic in Santee. Kim will also be remembered for her love of children and animals.

Kim is predeceased in death by her father; her maternal grandmother, Mary Ellen Dickson and her paternal granddaddy, Charles Richard Metzger, In addition to her husband, Kim is survived by her daughter, Shannon Kingery (Mike) of Holly Hill, South Carolina; her son, Gage Kingery of the home; her mother, Joyce Dickson of Holly Hill; her maternal grandfather, Lonzo Dickson of Vance; her paternal grandmother, Hazel Watkins of Santee; her brothers, Tony " Bubba " Metzger (Ashley) of Vance, Rocky Pratt (Jessica) of Holly Hill; her grandchildren, Parker and Axel Nelson; numerous nieces and nephews, her special nephew, Braden Metzger and her great niece. Kim is also survived by numerous members of her extended family to include aunts uncles and cousins.

A gathering of Kim's family and friends will be Sunday, February 20, 2022 from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at Avinger Funeral Home in Holly Hill. Services will be at 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Rite of Committal and Interment will be at the Dickson Family Cemetery, 246 Forgotten Way, Vance, South Carolina 29163, where she will be laid to rest near her grandmother. The family will gather at the home of Joyce Dickson.
