KINGSLAND, GA - Kathy Ann Meggs Meyer, 50, of Kingsland, Ga., wife of George "Wally" Meyer, died Friday, October 30, 2015 in a Jacksonville, Fla. hospital. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Avinger Funeral Home in Holly Hill with Rev. Buddy Locke officiating. Burial will follow in the Holly Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. before the service at the funeral home. Kathy was a daughter of David Meggs and Blanca Fillare. She was the cafeteria manager at St. Mary's (Ga.) Elementary School. Surviving are her husband of Kingsland; sons, Craig Meggs, Thomas Owens, and Christopher Meyer, all of Kingsland, Ga. and Nicholas Meyer of Orangeburg; her father of Fredericksburg, Va.; her mother of Apopka, Fla.; sisters, Rachael Fillare of Apopka, Fla., and Teresa Meggs of Titusville, Fla.; brothers, Bobby Fillare, Justin Caro, and Ramon Caro, all of Apopka, Fla.; grandmother, Virginia Casiano of Apopka, Fla.; and seven grandsons.
