Julian Earley

Julian Franklin Earley, 81, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023.

Born on January 12, 1942, in Orangeburg, SC, he was the son of the late Mary Beech Earley and Thomas Fredrick Earley.

Julian was a pillar of strength, wisdom, and only a phone call away to lend a helping hand to family and friends. He was a loving brother, husband, and father. Julian enjoyed gardening, playing cards, Gamecock football, and visiting with friends. Julian grew up in the farming community of Orangeburg, SC.

He served domestically in the US Army at Fort Hood during the Vietnam War. Julian spent much of his career as the Results Lab Supervisor at Santee Cooper's Jefferies Generating Station. Julian retired from Santee Cooper in 2004 and dedicated his time to gardening and enjoying the company of friends.

Julian was preceded in death by his parents and by his beloved wife, Helen Shuler Earley.

Julian's lasting memories will be cherished by his children: daughter A.M. Earley; son Tommy Earley (Sarrah); brothers Richard Earley (Rosilyn); Sam Earley (Debbie); David Earley (Linda); sisters-in-law, Martha Shuler; April Shuler; and all his nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 6 p.m. in the Avinger Funeral Home Chapel. The family will greet friends after the service from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Burial will be held privately at Bethlehem Southern Methodist Church.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
