Judy Lee Risher Jackson

Judy Lee Risher Jackson, 69, of Summerton, South Carolina, wife of Richard Wilson Jackson of 51 years, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 in Charleston, South Carolina surrounded by her family.

Born on April 19, 1951 in Cross, South Carolina Judy was a daughter of the late, Elijah Risher and Ida Bell Weatherford Risher.

Judy will be remembered by her family as a loving and kind woman. She enjoyed visiting the Cherokee, North Carolina and the Pigeon Forge, Tennessee mountains. She was very outgoing, never met a stranger and she loved to speak and visit with friends and family and she loved spending time with her chihuahua, Pearl.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents; her son, Robert Earl Jackson; her step son, Richard " Ricky " Jackson, Jr. and her brothers, Earl and Gene Risher.
In addition to her husband, Judy is survived by her daughter, Myra Bradham of Summerton, SC; her son, James Jackson (Kerin) of Pineville, SC; her step children, Julia Jackson of Summerton, SC and David Jackson (Susan) of Orangeburg; her sister, Janice Scott (Carl) of Branchville, SC; Nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

A gathering of Judy's family will be held from 12:00 P.M. until 1:30 P.M. on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Avinger Funeral Home in Holly Hill. Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the Black Creek Cemetery in Cross, South Carolina with Reverend Stan Wilson, officiating. Interment will follow services where she will be laid to rest next to her son and her parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Judy`s memory may be sent to any local animal care charity.
