Joseph Adam "Jody" Adkins

Joseph Adam "Jody" Adkins, 75 of Eutawville, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2024.

Born on March 1, 1949 in Moncks Corner, SC Jody was the son of the late Letisha Adkins and Melvin Adkins.

Jody loved nothing more than burning up the dirt roads near his home in Eutawville over the years in his golf cart, and in his younger years, it was on his dirt bike or moped. He was an avid story teller and always ready to tell a good, comical joke. Jody was a farmer all his life and wasn't afraid of a hard days work. He loved wetting a line in the swamp, collecting Hess trucks and John Deere tractors, and time spent with those he loved. He will be greatly missed.

Jody is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Elice Garrett and Bernice Padgett and a brother Willie Weatherford

Jody is survived by his nephews Frank Padgett (Blane) and Douglas Garrett (Kelly); niece Dana Garrett (Ed) and the rest of his extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at 11am at Black Creek Cemetery in Cross.
