John W. Gaither Sr.

John W. Gaither Sr., 76 of Eutawville, South Carolina, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024 at his home surrounded by his family and friends.

John is survived by his wife Traci Gaither; son John Walter Gaither Jr. (Tammy) of Eutawville, sister Dee Schreffler of Salem, Ohio and brothers Bill Gaither (Gloria) of Youngstown, Ohio and Dave Mangun (Jan) of Staunton, Virginia and sister-in-law Judy Kuklock; granddaughters Sumer Brown of Clarkesville, Tennessee and Ashton Smith (Brian) of Moncks Corner and great grandsons Lucas and Randall Schaffer.

John was born on April 12, 1948 in Salem, Ohio he was the son of the Mary Helen Hayes Sahli and Walter Gaither. John was the retired owner of Atlantic Control Products in Summerville. After retirement he moved to Lake Marion where he enjoyed boating, fishing, and spending time with his many friends around the lake. He loved God, his family and friends and his beloved pugs.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 17, 2024 from 11-12PM at Faith Church, 9150 Old Number Six Hwy., Santee. A service will follow at 12PM with Pastor Matt Suttle officiating. Burial will be private.
