John Franklin Bunch

John Franklin Bunch, 90 of Holly Hill, South Carolina, husband to Betty Infinger Bunch of 68 years, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023.

Born on February 1, 1933 in Holly Hill, South Carolina John was son of the late Devinnie Risher Bunch and Joel Bunch.

John was the owner of JB Construction Company, farmed, and was the pastor at First Pentecostal Holiness Church for many years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He and Betty enjoyed traveling when time allowed. John enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his great grandchildren. 

John is preceded in death by his parents; his sons, Steve Michael Bunch and Jimmy Leroy Bunch; his brothers, Bill Bunch, Luke Bunch, and Joel Asbury Bunch; sisters, Anna Bunch, Dora Coker, Estis Clark Hill, Audrey Austin, Dorothy Cooper, Lucille Clark, and Helen Huff.

John is survived by his wife; son, Harry Joe Bunch; grandchildren, Lisa Cook (David), Stephanie Sweatman (Michael), Crystal Bunch, Jamie Miller (Brandon), Amanda Campbell (Joey), Jim Bunch (Holly), Ashley Hill (Chad), Stevie Bunch (Amy), John Bunch (Brandy), Charlie Bunch, J.R. Bunch (Crystal), Melissa Crider (Ethan), Nicholas Bunch (Rebecca), Sam Bunch and Saralyn Jamieson; great grandchildren, Jonathan, Christopher, and Jessica Gawlik, Drake and Brynsley Sweatman, Landon and Makayla Miller, Sidney and Reed Campbell, Wyatt, Willow, and Weslyn Bunch, Holden and Cullen Hill, Lauren Bunch, Caleb, Carly and James Bunch, Hunner and Catherine Elizabeth Miller, Bethany and Jacob Bunch, and Levi and Ean Crider and numerous nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 1, 2023, 6-8PM at Avinger Funeral Home.  The service will be held Friday, June 2, 2023, 11am at Torch of Truth, 981 Gardner Blvd., Holly Hill.  Burial will follow at First Pentecostal Holiness Cemetery, 722 Catamount Rd. Holly Hill.
