James (Jim) Douglas Pittman, 80 of Eutawville, South Carolina, husband of Myra Pittman, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.
Born on November 5, 1943 in Lumberton, NC James was the son of the late Connie Cartrette Pittman and John Pittman.
Jim served four years in the United States Navy. Serving two tours in Vietnam. After serving in the Navy Jim worked for the Bell system. After retirement Jim and his son, Jimmy started their own telecommunications business N-S Carolina Cabling. Jim was a post commander with VFW Post #10980 in Eutawville for several years. He had a big heart for pets and loved bringing them home to care for.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
Jim is survived by his wife; sons, James (Jimmy) Pittman Jr., Obie Pittman, and Johnny Pittman (Rachel); and granddaughters, Shilah, Sammi, and Spencer.

Burial at Arlington National Cemetery will be held at a later date.
