James Henry Boyd, Sr.

SUMMERVILLE - James Henry Boyd, Sr., 82, of Summerville, husband of Liz Celler Boyd, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017 in a Charleston hospital. A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Fellowship of Praise, 8280 Old Number Six Hwy., Santee, with Pastor Ronnie Spires officiating. The family will receive friends prior the service beginning at 2 p.m. Jim was born in New York, a son of the late Arthur Boyd and Violet Anker Boyd. He was retired from Grumman Aerospace and was a sports enthusiast. He was preceded in death by sons, Danny and Jeff Boyd. Surviving are his wife, Liz of the home; sons, Jim (Gena) Boyd, Jr. of Pittsboro, NC, and Billy (Jackie) Boyd of Summerville; grandchildren, Ashley (Marshall) Buck, Even Boyd, Jordan Boyd, Billy Boyd, Thomas Boyd, and Jonathan Boyd.
