James F. Ettinger “Boog”, 68 of Eutawville, South Carolina, beloved husband of Sandi Ettinger and a loving father to Allison Ettinger passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024. James is survived by his wife and daughter.

Born on June 23, 1956 in Columbus, Ohio, James was a son of the late Jocelyn Smith Ettinger and Edward “Teddy Bear” Ettinger. James is preceded in death by his parents.

Boog retired from the Airline industry after 32 years. He was previously an officer and active member of Rock Hill Elks Lodge 1318. Boog was an All-American football player in high school and continued his love of sports throughout his life. You could often find him cheering on his Tigers in Clemson. He had a thirst for life and a thirst for good Irish Whiskey. To know him was to love him and he made friends wherever he was from Ireland to Eutawville. He was a huge proponent of rescuing animals and cared for them throughout his life. Music was another one of his great loves, from Jimmy Buffet to The Beatles, he was always smiling. He was an incredible chef/host and entertaining friends was also one of his favorite pastimes.
