Helen Winningham

Helen Bradley Winningham, 73, of Eutawville, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022.

Born on June 27, 1949, in Long County, GA, Helen was a daughter of the late Macie Watson Bradley and the late L.E. “Buck” Bradley.

After earning her master’s degree in library science from the University of South Carolina, Helen worked for, and retired from, the Orangeburg County School System as a librarian/media specialist at Vance-Providence Elementary School in Vance, SC. She was a voracious reader and worked diligently, and with great creativity, to ensure that all children in her school had the opportunity to learn, explore, dream, and expand their horizons though the magic of books.

Helen is survived by her husband of 55 years, Phillip; daughter, April; two sisters, Linda Bradley and Judy Brown; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

No service is immediately planned. Per Helen’s wishes, her ashes will be scattered during a private ceremony at a later date.
