Harold B. Barfield

Harold Barney Barfield, 82, of Eutawville, widower of Esther Baker Barfield, died Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011, at his sister's home in Summerville. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday, at the Eutawville United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Peter Belec officiating. Burial, with military rites, will be in the Eutawville Cemetery. Mr. Barfield was born in Sumter, a son of the late Julius B. Barfield and Lillie Flemming Barfield. He was a member of the Eutawville United Methodist Church, an Army veteran and retired from Coca-Cola Bottling Company. Survivors are daughters, Edie Reitz of North Charleston and Ann (Tom) Marlowe of Goose Creek; a son, Harold Ricky Barfield of Eutawville; a sister, Dorothy Craft of Summerville; a brother Franklin (Carolyn) Barfield of Fayetteville, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. this Monday Avinger Funeral Home in Holly Hill. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer Foundation, P.O.
