Guy M. Sanders III

EUTAWVILLE - Guy M. "Old Crow" Sanders III, 71, of Eutawville, husband of Annelle Smith Sanders, passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015 in a Charleston hospital. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Eutawville United Methodist Church with Rev. Billy Lewis and Rev. Peter Belec officiating. Burial will follow in the Eutawville Cemetery. Mr. Sanders grew up in Sumter, the son of the late Guy M. Sanders, Jr. and Ina Carawan Sanders. He was a member and past president of the Eutawville Lions Club, he was also an Eagle Scout and a Mason. He enjoyed hunting when he was able especially with his dog Max. He was preceded in death by a sister, Minnie McElveen; and a grandson, Braxton A. Dantzler. Surviving are his wife of Eutawville; daughters , Laurie S. Dantzler of Eutawville and Kim S. Shuler (Otis) of Providence; a son, Guy M. "Chip" Sanders IV (Patty) of Ridgeville; grandchildren, Amber D. Harrell (Trey) of Mt. Pleasant, Rachel A. Dantzler (Matt) of Walterboro, Maggie A. Dantzler of Eutawville, Corey Shuler (Kayla) and Ashley Shuler of Providence, Eric Sanders and Brooke Sanders of Campobello, Katie Sanders and Brittany Rawlings of Ridgeville, and Jeffery Rawlings of Lexington; great-grandchildren, M. Paxton Araneo and Catherine L "Lucy" Harrell. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. this Tuesday at Avinger Funeral Home and other times at the family home.
