Frances Myers

SANTEE - Frances Rush Myers, 77, of Santee, widow of D.P. "Boots" Myers, died Monday, May 19, 2014. A graveside service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Dantzler-Hart Cemetery with Rev. Buddy Locke officiating. Frances was born in Orangeburg County, a daughter of the late Leavy H. Rush and Ollie Lee Williams Rush. She was a long time waitress at Clark's Restaurant and was preceded in death by a grandson, David L. Myers. Surviving are a daughter, Susie Petty (Ernest) of Santee; a son, David Myers, Jr. of Vance; a sister, Carrie Newman (Albert) of Atlanta; grandchildren, Tabby Petty (Daniel Holloway) of Santee, and Jess Hritz (Norman) of Charleston; six great-grandchildren, Meghan, Autumn, Sarah, Madison, Braiden, and Peyton. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. this Wednesday at Avinger Funeral Home, and other times the home of Tabby Petty.
