SUMMERVILLE - Eula Mae Garrett Brownlee, 81, of Summerville, widow of James E. "Junior" Brownlee, Jr., died Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at a North Charleston hospital. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Avinger Funeral Home with Rev. Dallas J. Filyaw officiating. Burial will follow in the Black Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. this Friday at the funeral home. Eula Mae was born in Cross, a daughter of the late Ernest E. Garrett and Mary Brinson Garrett. A graduate of Cross High School, she worked in the cigar factory and the Manhattan Shirt Factory in Charleston years ago. Eula Mae was a member of Chaparral Free Will Baptist Church and a caregiver. Surviving are a son, Robert (Sherry) Marchant of Summerville; daughters, Mary (Wayne) Sweat of Summerville, and Wanda (Hermon) Huggins of Cottageville; sisters, Exie Adkins of Eutawville and Lois Prescott of Holly Hill; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
