Edwin Laurance Kirk

Edwin Laurance Kirk SANTEE- Edwin Laurance Kirk, 89, husband of Dorothy Mills Kirk, died Monday at The Regional Medical Center, Orangeburg. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Mr. Kirk was born in Media, PA, son of the late Lewis H. Kirk and Laura Garrett Kirk. A Marine Corps veteran of WWII, he earned his Bachelor's degree from Earlham College, Richmond, IN, and retired from Gulf Oil Co. as a project chemist. Mr. Kirk was an active charter member of the Santee Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder. He was a long time volunteer at The Regional Medical Center, Orangeburg, and loved tennis and bowling. Mr. Kirk is survived by his wife; a son, David S. Kirk of Weatogue, CT; a daughter, Suzanne M. Kirk of San Francisco, CA; and grandchildren, Joel H. Kirk and Juliet B. Kirk of Simsbury, CT. Memorials may be made to Santee Presbyterian Church, PO Box 649, Santee, SC 29142.
