Eddie Stroman Hutto

August 16, 1943 — May 15, 2017

HOLLY HILL - Eddie Stroman Hutto, wife of John L. Hutto of the Providence Community, passed away Monday, May 15, 2017, in a Charleston Hospital. Funeral services will be 2 PM, Wednesday, May 17th at the Providence United Methodist Church with the Rev. Terry Martin officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin at the church at 1 o'clock. Pallbearers will be Barry Hutto, Bryan Hutto, Dean Hutto, Richard Hutto, Hank Hutto, Walter Hutto, Tommy Stroman, and Austin Stroman. Mrs. Hutto was born in Ft. Benning, GA, a daughter of the Late Thomas W. Stroman and Belle Perry Stroman. She was formally employed at First National Bank, Orangeburg, where she met her husband John of 53 years. She was a member of the Providence United Methodist Church, a graduate of Orangeburg High School, and always had a smile, even after 45 years of Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. Survivors are her husband of the home; sons Col. John Laurence (Carrie) Hutto, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant and Thomas O'Dean "Tom" (Frances) Hutto of Holly Hill; grandchildren, Tressa E. Hutto of Columbia, Abbott Hutto of Holly Hill, Lauren Hutto, Megan Hutto, and John Laurence Hutto, III all of Mt. Pleasant; brothers Thomas W. Stroman, Jr. of Orangeburg, and James P. Stroman of Columbia. A special appreciation to Mamie Fogle and the staff of Life Care Center of Charleston.
