Donald Boyd

Donald (Donnie) O'Neal Boyd, 77 of Eutawville, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.

Born on October 24, 1946 in Orangeburg, Donnie was a son of the late Margie Owens Boyd and Russell Boyd.

Donnie served in the United States Air Force for 4 years. For many years he was employed with Boyd Furniture Store. Donnie enjoyed traveling, especially camping, gardening, and photography.

Donnie is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Paulette Boyd; a son Colin Boyd; and a nephew, Russ Boyd.

Donnie is survived by his son, Dustin Boyd (Danielle); brothers, Gene Boyd and Jimmy (Judy) Boyd; companion, Bette Ackerman and her daughter and family Julie (Sean) Cunningham and their son Jayden; nieces, Sandy (Randy) Brown and Donna Duncan; nephews, James (Beverly) Boyd and Jamie Bacot, and numerous great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Avinger Funeral Home, 2274 Eutaw Road in Holly Hill, South Carolina.

The service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 7, 2024 at Avinger Funeral Home, 2274 Eutaw Road in Holly Hill, South Carolina. The burial will be held at Mt. Tabor Cemetery, 1425 Mt. Tabor Rd, Bowman.

Those serving as pallbearers will be James Boyd, Jamie Bacot, Martin Duncan, Joe Miles, Randy Brown, and Sean Cunningham.
