Don Slack

EUTAWVILLE - Donald "Don" Barry Slack, 81, of Eutawville, husband of Brenda Doss Slack, died Sunday, October 12, 2014 at his home. A graveside funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Eutawville Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Johnson officiating. Don was born in Jamestown, NC, a son of the late Jasper Wade Slack and Evelyn Orsborne Slack. He was an Air Force veteran and owner of Eutawville Upholstery. He was a member of the VFW and enjoyed fishing. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Donna (John) Hicks of Eutawville; a son, Jeff Slack of Eutawville; sisters, Glenda (Johnny) Fowler of Rock Hill, and Carol (Gerald) Wheat of High Point, NC; grandchildren, Michael Hicks, Andree Myers, Jeffrey Slack, Jr., and Bobby Slack; step-granddaughter, Victoria West; and five great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. this Tuesday at Avinger Funeral Home in Holly Hill.
