SUMMERVILLE- Dana Stoudemire Helms, 48, of Summerville, wife of Robert "Robby" Helms Jr., died Friday in a Charleston hospital. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at the Holly Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Cooper Stonestreet officiating. Burial will be in the Holly Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Helms was born in Orangeburg, a daughter of H. Lee and Diana Danner Stoudemire. She was a member of the Holly Hill United Methodist Church and a graduate of Charleston Southern University. She was a teacher at Holly Hill Elementary School and a former teacher of the year. She was a National Board Certified Teacher and a TAP Mentor Teacher. Survivors are her husband of the home, sons, Dillon Singletary, Dustin Singletary, and Joshua Helms, all of Summerville, a daughter, Shelby Helms, of Summerville, her parents of Eutawville, a brother, H.L."Tripp" Stoudemire III, of Holly Hill and a sister, Prudy Hill, of Ladson. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. this Saturday at Avinger Funeral Home.
