Bobby Mendel Huckabee Sr.

Bobby M. Huckabee, 88 of Eutawville, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, January 27, 2025.

Born on April 28, 1936 in Camden, Bobby was a son of the late Lizzie Hill Huckabee and Robert Huckabee.

Bobby served in the United States Army. After the military Bobby worked for the Post and Courier for over 50 years. Bobby enjoyed fishing and playing cards. He was a joker and kept everyone laughing. He will be greatly missed by his family. 

Bobby is survived by his wife Hazel Huckabee; daughters Tina Huckabee (James Morton), Mary Ann Farmer (Bobby) and Marie Leibzeit; sons, George Huckabee (Paula) and Daryl Huckabee (Janey); brother Alfred Huckabee (EmmaRuth); daughter-in law Linda Huckabee; grandchildren Kyle and Jessica Denbleyker, Jahreka Morton, Brandon Huckabee, Taylor and Haley Huckabee, Nina Simpson, Allen Huckabee, Heather Carine, Tiffany Banks, Stacey Utsey, Michael and Joseph Rosekrans, Crystal Poke, Brandon and Robbie Farmer, Dixieanna, Jackie and Alice Leibzeit and Samantha Rudd; great grandchildren Drake and Wrenlee Denbleyker and Layla Huckabee and many more; and many nieces and nephews. 

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, two sons Bobby Huckabee Jr. and Mendel Huckabee, and several siblings.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 31, 2025, from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM at Avinger Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 1:15PM at Eutawville Cemetery.
