Betty Jean Ashe Dantzler 95 of Orangeburg passed away at her residence Wednesday, May 22, 2024.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 11am at Island Cemetery, 194 Noonie Curve Rd, Santee.
Betty Jean Ashe was born on November 17, 1928 to the late T.J. Ashe Sr. and Lurleen Hughes Ashe. She was happily married to the late Elroy B. Dantzler Sr. for 61 years.
Betty Jean is survived by sons Elroy B. Dantzler Jr. of North Charleston and Marion W. Dantzler of the home; sister, Barbara Ann Funderburke of Orangeburg; brother T.J. Ashe of Orangeburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a brother-in-law Marion (Fundy) Funderburke.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Island Cemetery, 129 Gransplace Lane, Santee, SC 29142.
