Bette Lou Starr

Bette Lou Starr, 100 years of age, passed away peacefully at home in Charleston on October 2, 2024.  

Born on April 19, 1924 in Malta, MT, Bette was one of eleven children and daughter of Alice Knowles Pope and Walter Pope.

Bette lived a memorable and fulfilling life. She was a devout Christian and an avid dancer belonging to the Country Cloggers well into her late 80's.  

Bette is survived by her son Kenton Edele; three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Sunday October 13, 2024 at 11AM at Holly Gardens Cemetery in Holly Hill.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made online to Samaritan's Purse.
