Barbara Murphy Langston

Barbara Murphy Langston, 89 of Holly Hill, South Carolina, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024.

Born on October 21, 1934 in Eutawville, Barbara was the daughter of the late Bertha Clark Myers and Adam Adkins.

Barbara enjoyed working in her yard tending to her flowers. She loved her pets and rescuing animals. Barbara was a member of Black Creek Methodist Church for many years.  

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Travis Langston; her seven brothers and sisters; and a granddaughter, Sandy Murphy Edwards.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Linda Storie (Sam); sons, JR Murphy (Jo) and JB Murphy; grandchildren, Chuck Storie (Carolyn), Jeff Murphy, and Melody Revell (Jack); great grandchildren, Daniel and Cameron Edwards, Anna Gurtler (Jordan), and Aaron and Todd Revell; 2 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services for Barbara will be held privately by the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Black Creek Cemetery or to a charity of one’s choice.

The family would like to thank the Oaks of Orangeburg and MSA Home Health and Hospice for the great care they provide to Barbara over the last several years.
