Barbara Boone Haig

Barbara B. Haig, 82 of Holly Hill, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at her home with her family by her side.

Born on April 16, 1942 in Portland, ME Barbara was the daughter of the late Helen Forsyth Boone and Frederick Boone.

Barbara is preceded in death by her husband Robert E. Haig and her parents.

Barbara was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. She could often be found out at breakfast enjoying a meal and keeping her friends entertained with her uncanny sense of humor and quick wit. 

Barbara is survived by her children Richard Haig (Lisa) of Enfield, CT., Christopher Haig of Cromwell, CT,, Stewart Haig (Jennifer) of Orangeburg, and Christine Haig-Beaver (Antoine) of Holly Hill; three grandchildren Stanley "Stash" Haig, Mykel Brown; and Colin Haig and sisters Nancy Anglin and Ruth Doak. She also leaves her dear friend and the Louise to her Thelma, Marlynn Edwards of Holly Hill..

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 21, 2024, from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Avinger Funeral Home, 2274 Eutaw Road in Holly Hill, South Carolina.

The service will follow at 12:15 PM at Holly Gardens Cemetery, in Holly Hill, South Carolina.

The family would like to thank Grove Park Hospice for their care and assistance during this time.
