Alvoid Pratt

EUTAWVILLE - Alvoid Pratt, 85, of Eutawville, husband of Vickie Jackson Pratt, died Saturday, December 6, 2014 at his home. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday at AVINGER FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL with Rev. Jerry Lenon officiating. Burial will follow in the Scott Cemetery. Alvoid was born in Orangeburg County, a son of the late Jeff B. Kizer and Parnease Pratt. He was a former member of the SC National Guard and was a bridge builder for 14 years. Alvoid was a retired merchant and a member of White Oak Church of God. In addition to his wife, surviving are daughters, Susie (Toby) Jennings of Orangeburg, Wanda Pratt of Eutawville, Christine (Clinton) Crummie and Rita (Lavance) Hughes, all of Holly Hill; sons, Alvoid (Mary) Pratt, Jr. of Cope, Jeff (Lola) Pratt, Daryl (Beverly W.) Pratt, and Paul Pratt, all of Eutawville, and Reuben (Beverly) Pratt of Holly Hill; a sister, Margie Platt of Holly Hill; 20 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. this Monday at Avinger Funeral Home, Holly Hill.
