Alfred Dantzler, 78, of Holly Hill, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 in Orangeburg, South Carolina.
Born on October 1, 1943 in Holly Hill, Alfred was a son of Hubert Dantzler and Althea (Harley) Dantzler.
Alfred worked as a forester for many years for the Westvaco Paper Company in Moncks Corner and retired in 2004. Alfred will be remembered by his family and friends for his unique whit and his sense of humor. He enjoyed being in the outdoors and going deer hunting.
Alfred is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Diane Dantzler; his two sons, Brent and Rusty Dantzler; his brother, Sonny Dantzler; his sisters, Genevieve Carpenter and Joyce Hill.
Those who will most cherish his memory are his daughter, Miranda Dantzler of Goose Creek; his niece, Sylvia Stearns of Holly Hill; his two sons, Al Duncan (Penny) of Eutawville and Joey Duncan of Eutawville, SC; his brothers, Melvin Dantzler (Lib) of Eutawville and Leon Dantzler (Jamie) of Santee; his six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, a great niece and two great nephews.
Graveside services to honor Alfred's life will be at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, January 8, 2022 at the Target United Methodist Church Cemetery in Holly Hill.
